The Art of BrosFate - 3

 In this post I make a quick tour of BrosFate's other projects. The illustration above is from a recent series called 'Slave Sword' and it shows a would-be 'Slave-Gladiator' being punished for disobedience. As you have seen, this artist has an interest in men being subjected to unwelcome groping and gripping down below and he has a talent for portraying it too. Surprisingly it doesn't seem to be a common subject amongst other artists, but I can't think of anyone that's done the invading hand more convincingly than this.

'Slave Sword' is somewhat similar to 'Rookie Mercenary', in that two recruits become friends as they struggle to progress in a fighting role. In this case they fall in love and this leads to them disobeying their master.
Both are punished, Ivan above and Aston in the first picture. 

BrosFate has a welcome, uncomplicated approach to creating his imagery.
His frames tend to focus on one subject and are all the more powerful for that simplicity. The elongated leg effect here is very effective, the prominent muscles reminiscent of Kalabro. I like the loin cloth style of groin covering he's used.

 

This scene, suggesting a slow death by drowning, is reminiscent of film serials of the 50's which invariably ended each episode with the heroes in a hopeless position, apparently doomed. Water tanks filling with water with a floundering victim inside are not uncommon in modern mainstream movies but erotic images are usually less ambitious in concept and this seems quite original, although I recall there is a similar scene with swimmers in Bowen's Watery Trap.

This scenario also reminds me of the memorable water tank scenes by Bound Gods featuring Dante and Rusty Stevens (mmm!) which have something of the same feel about them. (Not to mention my own Preserve Factory and Feeding Time, of course). In all these other cases however the tank occupants were alone, tightly bound and totally immersed, rather than suffering slow, gradual submergence alongside their buddy.

This is another striking image with a historical setting.

It shows a captive forced to work in 'Young Barbarian'

The idea of taming a strong man by giving him a Herculean physical task is as old as time
This appears to be a particularly futile one, to be repeated over and over again.
This giant millstone is a suitably intimidating prop, worthy of Cecil B Demille.
Of course once he's mastered it he may become more of a problem than ever.

We've already seen examples of kick boxing in other BrosFate stories. This example features a surprisingly well-dressed gang member (centre) and is significant in the narrative because it marks the moment of Epiphany for Edgar, the ginger haired hero of 'Blue Justice' (left).

This picture captures well the wild and vindictive kick that fells him.

Edgar's attempt to stop the gang molesting a woman backfires.
He is overwhelmed by their numbers, beaten and disrobed by them.
There are some sexy undressing shots in this sequence.

The gang mock him and run off with his clothes.
With nothing to wear, Edgar is obliged to find his way home totally naked.
This is a classic dream and nightmare scenario, of course
but it's power as a humiliation depends on your personality and local culture.

Bruised and humiliated, Edgar resolves to become fitter and stronger.
With the help of his friend Thomas, he morphs into a very boyish-looking 'Blue Justice'.
There's a tantalising electronic fitting of his 'hero suit' during this process.

For me though, the story of his opponent-to-be is more interesting.
It starts with the mysterious disappearance of a fight champion,
 who just happens to be a bit of a hunk if you disregard his excessive fierceness.

(Interestingly, this black and white image seems more real than the coloured ones)

The fighter has actually been kidnapped by the villain of the piece,
 who, in an unusual twist, turns out to be younger than his captive and far less strong.
He plans to morph the fighter into robot slave soldier to do his bidding.
The transformation process is compellingly imagined in this scene
complete with thought-control helmet and billowing steam.

Of course the human robot fails in his mission, thanks to 'Blue Justice'.
He returns, humiliated, to his master's secret laboratory to face punishment.
This image of the muscular hunk bowing down in shame is excellent.
One wonders if he's still aware of his former existence as a proud Champion.

This frustrated-looking captive with a nice loin cloth and fabulous body is a great image

But he's not the prisoner of some ancient lord but something quite different.

He's a resident in a 'Virtual Dungeon' which involves computer games and blurred realities.

A young man crosses the boundary into a fantasy of possessing this hunky captive.

 

In 'Debt' a young man sells himself into servitude to pay for his brother's medical bills

That's a theme which Tagame also exploited in his 'South Island' POW story.

In erotica, sitting on your slave is usually a casual put-down or pony-riding exercise.

It gets more real, with an extra twist of public humiliation, in this office setting.
BrosFate tweaks an old idea into something different and very sexy.

 This splendid rugby player is Dave, a character in 'Housemate', one of this artist's earliest stories.

Dave takes in a housemate, Will, who is instantly attracted to him but dares not say so.

BrosFate shows them making domestic arrangements and  becoming friends

So far so ordinary, but there's a very unexpected and interesting twist in the story.....

Will has a secret desire to be a Master and starts searching for a Sub on the internet.

He makes contact anonymously with 'Wolf 'and they arrange to meet.

To Will's astonishment, Wolf turns out to be Will and he's looking for a Master.

 It's a tricky situation with them being Housemates, but they work out an on-off arrangement

Weedy Will's domination of hunky, muscle jock Dave is deliciously incongruous 

and it's already taking effect in this frame as he dictates the rules of their relationship.

His reward is unrestricted access to Dave's fabulous physique
which he can dress and undress and do with as he pleases.

 

He makes the most of his opportunity and begins to explore Dave's boundaries,
making him pose and exercise and display his body provocatively as a sex object.

They even flirt with public exposure of their relationship. It's that nudity thing again
with the added spice of Rugby Star Jock Dave being found out to be a practising Sub by his friends.

This exploration of the thrill of being dominated is charmingly innocent. 

Finally 'Strange Blacksmith', the most fantastical of all BrosFate's stories.

A Knight visits a Blacksmith to commission a new set of armour

The (very young) Smith measures him up and it seems like a variation of 'Housemates'
 where a yearning young man unexpectedly gains intimate access to a hunk.

The Knight sits and watches the Smith hammering out his armour plate

But the sound of the hammer seems to mesmerise him and he is gradually overcome 

In a series of 'wobbly' transition pictures he imagines himself transported
 to a different, dungeon-like place, where he materialises astride a 'wedge' torture horse

To his dismay and anger he finds he is a captive, naked of course,

restrained by chains as though being prepared for torture,

 and suddenly his dream becomes very real.

He is approached by a horned being of the underworld
He looks very much like the Smith and claims the Knight as his toy.
Then he starts to torment him.

The wedge horse and dungeon in this scene have a genuine flavor of antiquity,
but these tit-clamps are more akin to common or garden leather fetish.
Fortunately BrosFate's imagination is not exhausted.....

Toy seems to be the right word to describe the captive Knight's fate.

The elf (if that's his correct classification) spread-eagles the helpless Knight.

 and produces a strange, snake-like being from nowhere with a magical flourish.
(and that's not the only impressive sight in this image! Nice buns!)

The snake burrows into the Knight's ass.
It's a terrifying demonstration of demonic power.
The dramatic, red pattern of the snake's skin
seems to warn of aggression and danger.

There's an alien takeover scene something like this in one of the Startrek movies but they did not use this particular orifice for some reason!

That particular torment eventually ends, 

but the dream goes on and the Knight finds there's no escape.

Once again as I look at this artist's work I am left wondering,
how can such a simple image like this work so well?

Notice that the elevated status of the Knight, like the fight Champion,
 makes his captivity and loss of freedom all the more humbling

BrosFate's imagination seems to brim with original ideas and he has an uncanny ability
 to produce simple but powerful illustrations to convey them to his audience.

There's a certain youthful naivety in his exploration of fetish relationships

and a yearning for strong men which is an innocent desire we can all remember.

His restrained approach to sexual matters often results in tantalising erotica
 in which our imaginations are invited to supply the lurid detail.
I'm  looking forward to seeing more of his work.

The Art of BrosFate - 2

This image is from the BrosFate story 'Rookie Mercenaries'.

It describes the attempts of two young men to join an outfit of mercenary soldiers.

You will gather from this picture that the organisation has demanding admission tests
which are conducted with the trialist completely nude.

(The image has been subjected to a 'vanilla cropping' that looks a bit awkward,
 but actually it whets the appetite!)

This character, 'Jade', (who says he has a heterosexual relationship outside the unit),
learns the hard way that boot worship is not merely a symbolic exercise
but a gritty test of willingness to totally submit to the demands of his superiors.

It's a short step from boots to feet, but a significant one, moving the test into sexual territory.

The cropping looks a bit over-enthusiastic here, but I like the prominence given to the foot.

The glimpse of the bystander on the right is a nice, mildly erotic element.

Earlier on, Jade and other applicants underwent a more normal induction test.

I've included this picture mainly because I like the young man dressed in blue, 

or rather his short hair and sensual neck-line, it's one of my weaknesses!

Sadly, he doesn't fare any better in the barrel-lifting test than the contestant we see here.

This is an earlier series than 'Captured Soldier' and you can see that BrosFate's technique is still developing. The aerial, angled view sets formidable perspective challenges which you can see most clearly in the relative sizes of the contestants in the foreground and the bearded judge at the far end of the table. Fortunately our brains seem to disregard these odd effects and focus on the content.

Jade and Andy (with the ginger hair) are the only successful applicants.

Their friendship germinates as they undergo simultaneous medicals in the nude.

BrosFate is unexpectedly discreet here, but he does show Jade's embarrassment

(and interest?) when it's discovered that Andy has developed an erection.

You will have realised by now that humiliation and embarrassment is a major theme of this story.

The medic proceeds to take a swab from each man's backside, putting them in a jar on the table.

Quite what this purpose this might have served in a pre-technology era, I dread to think!

Free to take a break, Andy explores the gardens.
He espies 'Hans' washing himself at the well, which sight flushes out his gay orientation.

The choice of a low viewpoint here creates a nice sense of Andy's submissiveness.

It elevates Hans to heroic dimensions (but the perspectives beyond them are dizzying!)

Sadly, BrosFate passes up the chance to show more of Andy's butt credentials.

Andy is inexperienced and Hans has to give him soldierly encouragement

 and practical instruction in the art of sucking - and then bottoming.
This is a nice use of close-up technique conveying the earthy sensuality of their moment
and allowing us the role of furtive voyeurs.

Meanwhile Jade is summoned by the Chief and interrogated about his sex life.
 .

I'm not usually a fan of historical themes and clothing, but this image certainly makes a good case for young men dressing in shifts. It's amazingly erotic considering you can't actually see anything.

The wide screen format creates a dilemma here, it would be nice to lose those spaces at the side but the height can't reduced without losing vital detail.

By the time you get to this point, it's clear that that the artist is imposing a certain amount of modesty on these compositions. He does show sexual acts in progress, but not the organs. Whether that caution springs from him, his cultural background, publishing legalities, software limits or something else, I cannot say.

It's not always a turn-off as the preceding picture graphically demonstrates and his story-telling is good and well paced enough to off-set the absence of purer filth.This particular example is a little frustrating though! That's partly because the screening-off seems so contrived and unnecessary. The underlying image seems relatively innocuous and is so well conceived (and led up to in the narrative) that it seems a shame not to show us what everyone in the picture is focused on.

The artist seems to have fewer reservations about depicting brutality, even sexual stuff.
 How strange are values in this world!
 .

This is another nice image and for once I think the aerial perspective is entirely appropriate.
Jade's attacker is a well-conceived figure and there's nice continuity
with the glimpse we had of him in the opening sequence of this article.

Hans arrives bringing Andy with him and his clothes are rapidly discarded.
I'm being mischievous in including this image. BrosFate has resolved the issue of unrealistic clothing by the time of 'Captured Soldier' but his caption here is rather ironic.
You can see why he wanted to retain this dramatic moment but it's not his best image.

We can finish on a more positive note as Jade and Andy bend over the table to formally demonstrate their complete submission to their superiors and receive what you might call their blessing.
The vultures seem to be hovering over them in this inspired imagining.
It leads into an extended finale in which the Rookies truly earn their spurs.

The Art of BrosFate - 1

BrosFate is a CGI artist with a fetish bent that's a little out of the ordinary.
His most notable creation is Frank - The Captured Soldier (above).
He's a young man with an enviable physique and an adventurous job.




Frank's 'fate' (to borrow from the artists moniker) is to be sent on missions and captured.
The artist portrays the background to his capture in enough detail to tell a proper story
He gives Frank simple, military clothing which complements his fine physique.
As a professional soldier he makes a significant capture for his civilian opponents.

Clothing is often problematic for CGI artists but it works well in these images
The background detailing here is a little basic but the tilt of the picture is clever,
creating a sense of blindfolded Frank being pushed and stumbling forward. 
.


Frank is forced into a submissive kneeling position as they to interrogate him.
I'm never quite sure with this art-form just how much credit goes to the artist
and how much to the software resources he is using, but this is a good composition.
You can see that Frank (like us) is wondering what they are planning to do to him.
The tilt of the floor here sustains an impression of disorientation

BrosFate seems to have a good sense of how to manage his space here,
avoiding the CGI trap of placing characters in vast, empty halls .

Goodness! Image No 19 and Frank's still got his pants on....just about!

BrosFate allows the fetish situation to develop gradually, but he doesn't waste frames as padding
and rarely uses slow-motion sequences, instead producing a succession of unique images and some, like this one,are pretty impressive. He uses close-ups to good effect. The cropping here focuses our attention on the exceptionally well-rendered invasion of Frank's undershorts
and, simultaneously on the subtle, eye-contact duel that's going on.

Franks sturdy thighs are highlighted by the cut of his shorts which make a sexy side-dish for this feast.
This is almost the perfect illustration of what makes shorts sexy (from the front at any rate!)



BrosFate characters use realistic coercion techniques, by and large he avoids resorting to leather dungeon cliché's like tit clamps and candle wax, in favour of less sophisticated forms of brutality

The buttocks of the kidnapper are a sweet detail here and the soldier's recoil convincing.

CGI artists are often beguiled by the ease with which they can create unusual viewpoints and BrosFate uses aerial ones a lot. There's a risk of creating distance and separation from the viewer with this technique, which then undermines involvement, The unfamiliar perspectives can look odd too.

However, this image has many virtues, not least a very sexy view of Frank's hair, shoulders and bottom.
The glimpse of boots still on his feet underlines his total nudity elsewhere.

 There's a marvellous sense of action and drama in this image.
The canted frame angle seems to reflect the wildness of the whiplash
and the prisoner's disorientation and disarray.

There's worse punishment to come for Frank but he demonstrates his heroic credentials by spitting in the face of his torturer, rather than passively soaking up the punishment . It's a raw example of character development that you don't always get in erotic confrontations.

After that, there's only one option left - sexual and psychological degradation.

One of his tormentors seems to have donned Frank's shorts at this point

as though to demonstrate his total control and to deprive Frank of his military identity.

Let's face it, it's kinky too.

Compare this low level close-up with the preceding image and you see
how it captures the physicality of the interaction and Frank's resentment at it,
whereas the aerial shot emphasises his alone-ness and vulnerability at the rear.

The tight cropping here is brave. That's partly driven by a desire to create a 'vanilla' publicity image
but see how it seems to lift Frank's humanity and relegates the villains to to the sidelines



The villains have their way of course, in the end.
This could be just a routine, porn penetration moment but the inclusion of the pants-dropping detail adds a sexy frisson of earthiness and over-eager awkwardness.
Frank's pose is magnificent, defiant you might almost say. 

Unlike the average porn video, the top's satisfaction is not the end of the story.

There's a sudden and bloody interruption, Frank's comrades burst in and shoot his abusers.
(having been summoned by the radio tooth implant - bluetooth?- in Frank's jaw).
He is rescued, but only so he can go through it all again on his next mission.

 Frank is assigned to escort an important civilian, but loses his charge in an fire fight
(which is illustrated in comic strip detail, blood and all)
His pursuit takes him to this deserted house where he is attacked again.
He gives a good account of himself but meets his match in this kick boxing exponent.

This aerial image shows off Frank's shapely physique and cute bottom.
I think he looks great when he's dressed.

This lower, roughly eye-level viewpoint is more dramatic and draws us into the action.
It's a stunning dynamic scene. As narrative, it tells us a lot about Frank and his opponent's capabilities, which makes his capture a more significant event and his subsequent ill-treatment all the more intense.

I think some of the background detail and fighting poses are 'off the shelf',
but the artist has certainly made good use of the tools at his disposal..

Inevitably Frank is tortured to reveal what he knows.
 He writhes to the side to avoid the shock wands.

The low waist on his trousers creates a very 'exposed' effect at hip level,
it looks highly vulnerable to those nasty electrodes hovering nearby.
There's worse to come as the array of implements on the table indicates.

Eventually, Frank is told he is to become a slave. He is caged as punishment for resistance
and his new master fits him with a electrified collar to ensure his total compliance.
 (It's a similar plot device to my current 'Flat Cap Gang' story line at the mitchmen Group)

I'm doubtful about cages in fetish imagery because they tend to obscure the view of the captive,
BrosFate's neck opening goes some way to sidestepping that.
 

You get a good sense here of a defeated Frank stumbling submissively from his cage
to acknowledge his subjugation to the master. Our viewpoint withdraws as though it's an ending.

Notice how erotic Frank's nudity is in the presence of his fully-dressed captor.
His muscularity, artfully highlighted, is subordinated to a man who looks much weaker. 
But at least the empty cages around him suggest he is the last of the batch to capitulate.
Nice stuff!

This image of the slaves to be, being rudely summoned from their darkened cell
 stands out simply as a complex figure study, it does not rely on comic book action
 or a particular context for it's impact.

 The startling effect of sudden bright light is beautifully captured
and the resentful reaction of the hunky prisoner at the left is a great detail.

The low-level close-up captures the prisoner's cramped conditions well
while the prominent, dirty, toilet bowl spells out degradation and humiliation.

 

'The Captive Soldier' is a remarkable piece, which creates an exciting fetish flavoured drama with a believable storyline and without any of the artifice and short cuts to sex you get in ordinary erotic fetish. It's sexual content is varied and satisfying but not allowed to overwhelm the storyline which has an underlying energy that is refreshing to jaded palates. The artist's ability to create a consistent succession of memorable, sexy images throughout a story of 70 frames is laudable and shows a remarkable artistic focus.
