but the flimsy clinging material does have it's moments front (above) and rear.

The Art of Absolutbleu 1 - Icons

Absolutbleu - New Soccer Captain

This marvellous image is labelled by the artist as a soccer player and the shin pads and technique of chesting of the ball, cleverly captured here, certainly belong in that sport. However I'm encouraged by the oval ball and awesome physique to see this sportsman as a rugby player. I love his skimpy shorts and mighty thighs. 

The love-struck comic character in the background is another example of the cartoon commentary device I talked about in my article on Nickie

 I've published images by Absolutbleu here twice before : A randy snowman in 'It Must Be Winter' and a Pirate kidnapping a Merman in 'Summer Booty' (both in 2019). Both these images and the sportsman above have central characters with a strong identity, either cultural or homoerotic. I've labelled them as iconic for this post (although it's a fashionable, much abused word in these days of vagueness).

Absolutbleu - Cop, Ticket Stop*

"I'll do whatever you say, Officer!" The simple device of an opened car window in the foreground draws us personally into this image imagining the erotic aura pouring into the car. This is the cop as a desirable man as well as a figure of authority, a lethal combination. His swollen pecs are a trademark of this artist's work.

The sportsman above is a reasonably authentic imagining of the hunky footballer icon but Absolutbleu doesn't allow conventional attire to confine his re-imaginings. The upper body of this cop is not so very far removed from the muscular types seen in American cities but his scanty, mankini-like thong certainly is. Absolutbleu transforms a ludicrous garment into something very sexy, attracting our aroused interest rather than ridicule (who would dare?). The pouch design is similar to that used by Stefan in his muscle art. The badge and it's subdued, co-ordinated colouring are nice touches.

Absolutblue - A Small Present (Cowboy*)

The cowboy gets a similar makeover with a cow-hide pouch by the look of it. Interesting! No gun in his holster though, which might lead you to think the phallic column in the background is more his thing. Or perhaps he's making his way home after being waylaid by a bandit who took everything he had. If so he doesn't look too upset about it.

This artist's faces are quite expressive and this one is decidedly cute in a manly way.

 

Absolutbleu - Nathan Drake (adventurer*)

 The 'dangerous curves' of Nathan Drake from the game 'Uncharted'. He's representative of the modern day, game character icons (like Chris Redfield) whose durability has yet to be proven. This sketch shows his face in it's unrefined form and there's a delicacy of line and authenticity that is quite engaging, a sexiness that shades into something rather different in the more polished images. The sweeping 'S'  of his exaggerated body curves shows an artistic sense of style.

Absolutbleu - Sea Food (preliminary sketch)

This sketch for a beached merman shows similar characteristics of stylishness and delicacy. This creature's muscularity is conveyed mainly by a sense of bulk, rather than detailed line work or shading. Both these sketches illustrate another prominent feature of this artist's work - subjects who flirt with the viewer, inviting us to admire their bottoms (and so on).

 

Absolutbleu - Xmas Drive Aid

 It's the wrong time of year in the Northern Hemisphere but I can't leave this selection of Absolutbleu icons without mentioning Father Christmas. One for the boys down-under! This artist's output of Xmas-themed images is phenomenal and this sexy Santa (who is not the real thing but a regular humpy guy who's dressed up for charity) is a worthy representative of them. He's seen braving the cold snow with no apparent adverse consequences for his ding-a-ling. I like the skilful ribbon arrangement, covering and clinging to his elevated nipples. Meanwhile the potential for unravelling that bow boggles the imagination!

Gay Heroes

 

Justin Fashanu presented as a role model for young men

 

I stumbled across this picture of Justin Fashanu while indulging my interest in old war comics. His photo was featured on a back cover, the spot reserved for inspiring young men with sporting heroes. That was in 1980. A year later he became the first British black footballer to be transferred for a million pounds and was playing for one of the top clubs in the UK, winning acclaim for his spectacular goals and represented England at U21 level.

In October 1990, almost exactly 30 years ago, Justin came out as a gay man, aged 28. To this day he remains the only player to have come out whilst still playing in the top levels of UK soccer.

Even today, black soccer players face a barrage of abuse when they step out on a football field, it was worse in 1990. At that time too the homophobic element in UK life was mounting a (last?) stand against gay rights exploiting the AIDS crisis and helped by Margaret Thatcher's nauseating 'Family Values' campaign.  In such a climate it's not hard to imagine the courage needed for a gay, black player to come out and play in the public arena. 

Justin Fashanu - Proud and Gay

Fashanu was publicly disowned by his equally-famous, footballing brother, John. It later emerged that as a million pound player he even had to deal with the anti-gay bigotry of the manager who had signed him (even at 21 Justin was not ultra-discreet about his life-style). Perhaps not surprisingly in view of that, the mega-transfer deal proved to be the peak of his career, he never reproduced the same form at his new club and suffered an injury soon after that limited him to lesser clubs for the rest of his career.  Nevertheless he carried on playing successfully at the senior level until 1994 and was still a prolific goal scorer for Torquay Utd in 1993.

In 1998 he committed suicide after being charged with a sexual assault in Maryland where gay sex was still illegal. He said it was a consensual act but believed he would be convicted anyway.

Apart from the coincidental 30 year anniversary of his 'coming out', Justin's story struck a chord with me since it's only a 10 months since another well-known Englishman came out in very different circumstances. Philip Schofield has had a long career in British Television as a co-presenter, most recently of a day-time magazine style show This Morning' and 'Dancing on Ice'. In February he came out on air and revealed that at the age of 57 and after 26 years of marriage he had 'finally come to terms with being gay'. The media response was to praise his courage and treat him as a hero and even laud him as a 'Gay Icon'. As you might expect these days, his Television career hasn't suffered at all, which is good news, unquestionably. 

 

I have no particular gripe with Schofield, but to laud him as a hero seems wrong. For me the real Gay Heroes are men like Justin Fashanu who had his faults but tried to live openly as a gay man in a very hostile climate. There are many thousands of gay men who you have never heard of, who do just that, leading the lives nature has assigned to them, openly and without concealment, fuss or fear. 

They are all heroes.

The 'coming out' of a role model is important, particularly for some gays who struggle to liberate themselves, which is why I applauded Tom Daly, the Olympic Diver when he took the plunge at the peak of his career. Schofield, a man who has taken 57 years to (begrudgingly) accept what he is, can be praised for biting the bullet and welcomed into the gay community of course, but his coming out is hardly an inspiring example for others or a ringing endorsement for being gay.

Soccer Bondage Humiliation

 

Images of soccer players in bondage are not exactly uncommon, but they often posed either by excessively young or else overly burly men and rarely seem to embody the essence of the professional footballer that captures our interest on the field. That is, a man who is typically mid 20's with a fit, lean physique, powerful thighs and, more often than not, an eye-catching, trendy hair style. These pictures are an exception and come from an unexpected source, BreederFuckers.

 

The model is shown changing into (above) and (top) wearing the Argentina Football Kit which has the great advantage of being an authentic-looking and relatively traditional design, uncluttered by garish advertising logos. Argentina have the good fortune that their flag provides attractive colours for their National team to wear, colours that always flatter a man, especially one with dark skin.

As usual with this studio the model is lured by the promise of a professional modelling assignment which quickly leads to captivity and humiliating bondage. For once he is allowed to keep his clothes on as he is tied up and gagged. You can see already that his physique is a good fit for the role of footballer.

In the UK, Argentine Football is forever associated with Diego Maradona's 'Hand of God', an illegally handled goal that helped put England out of the 1986 World Cup Finals. Because of that, seeing a supposed member of that team lying on the floor of a changing room, tied up as though being kidnapped, is a not unpleasant sight and the bridle gag he has been subjected to is perhaps not inappropriate either.

It goes without saying that nipple pegging is good too, but this image featuring a torso-revealing shirt lift (Step 3 in the Amalaric lexicon of forced undressing) and invading hands groping underneath it is full of erotic triggers anyway. The shorts meanwhile are screaming to come off.

In this marvellous image Liam achieves the feat of looking submissive while he's lying on the ground.

The scrunched up half-mast shorts look a hundred times better in this position and have revealed some attractive white briefs with a very touchable lump visible. Liam's abs have also shifted into some nice shaping but, oh, those thighs! These are thighs truly worthy of a professional footballer and their bulk helps to push Liam's tackle into a more prominent position. The glimpse of stocking top further down adds further to the sense of leg bulk on this man.

The lowering of those briefs and shorts to ankle level does not disappoint us either, confirming the model's delicious man-shaping whilst adding a twist of humiliation to spice an old rivalry.

 

The footballer's thighs look even more impressive in this view but they can't shield his tackle from a bit of intimate anchoring and meanwhile a sneak attack is mounting him from behind. I'm glad they lifted his shirt to show his (no doubt throbbing) nipple.

There's a marvellous sense of awkward helplessness here as his discomforts multiply

 

 I'm not the biggest fan of the 'dick on a stick' beloved by BF and Kink.com, but I'm still drooling over those marvellous thighs and dishelled shorts. There's also a nice bit of under-shirt action on those tenderised nipples.

 

There's a shirtless sequel to the 'fully dressed' episode above, a change of direction possibly made out of respect for the expensive replica kit! Here the model submits to a more restrictive arms tie (it was just wrists before). That's augmented (below) by neck roping that adds a dark, little, extra twist alluding to slave collars and the noose.

This rerun of the capture gives the opportunity for a different shorts-lowering sequence and for me this 'forced undressing' moment is actually much more erotic than it seems to have a right to be.

That's partly because of that perilous 'nearly gone' position they've created, supplemented by waistband-manipulating hands and a glimpse of the underwear inside (Stage 8 of the Amalaric Index). It's also down to the model's tight restraint position which presents an unexpectedly fleshy torso and some sexy plunging curves accentuating the shape of his belly and disappearing 'mysteriously' inside his underpants. 

The renewed attack on his nipples is a bit of a distracting, side show for me, perhaps warranting a separate closer image. The hand holding the chain here could be profitably be transferred to the abdominal area, emphasising the erotic 'reveal' and making a single point of invasion.

Underpants are always a welcome sight although, sadly, the model's previous excitement seems to have subsided. Those tugging hands play a nice supporting role (or I suppose I should say a dislodging role).

 

It's a good opportunity to examine the catch more closely. 

I love the simplicity of this image. Nice body shaping.

 Gagging the man again forces him to lower his head into a submissive position and his hands tied behind lift, emphasising the restraint. I will concede that the swinging nipple chain here adds to the sense of mounting pressure on the captive, whose football socks and boots seem deliciously incongruous.

 

I used this picture in a previous 'BF' post, (Taken Off The Streets 5), it's just so sexy and the sequencing following the shorts and underwear images creates a powerful sense of sudden nudity where it matters! 

The cropping produces a slightly odd image, but gives it a sense of a snatched, unguarded moment not intended to be seen by vicarious spectators.

The muddy boot studs cleverly suggest that this guy's just been snatched off the pitch. 

He's subjected to further new bondage and which has an increasingly ominious sense about it.

Needless to say there's an awful lot more invasive nastiness inflicted on him in the course of these proceedings which you can explore at the links below.

 

Afterwards, there's just time for a bit of physiotherapy.

 The model in this set of images is called 'Liam', an Irish name that jars somewhat with the role he's playing here, but he certainly looks the part of a Latin, playboy sportsman.
