The Suggestive Art of dures-annees

This artist's pictures are inspired by everyday life in a French provincial village, which is evoked vividly and comprehensively. But it's a version of the world where extreme traditional values still hold sway. Men have to submit to them and to anyone in authority, giving them whatever they demand. Many are obliged to wear short trousers to demonstrate their subservient position.

 

Dures-annees - Workmen Laying Cobbles

 

 Rustic crafts and traditions are still part of everyday life, here, but these are three of those men, trapped in adolescence, still wearing short trousers at the unchallengeable behest of their employers. 

 

Still talking about sex like kids too, in this scene. The clever bib and brace kit they have to wear may leave their legs naked and exposed, but the pockets keep everything else warm - and on the boil if they want! Dures-annees is French for hard years and the pun is intentional. We're talking cobbles here!

 

The French may not know the meaning of entrepreneur (according to ex-President Bush) but this one certainly knows the meaning of double entendre!

 

Dures-annees - Workmen fixing Roofs

 This is a job everyone looks up to, keeping a roof over our heads. Wearing shorts for the job has its pro's and con's, though. It allows ease of movement with nothing loose thing to catch on things, true, but they give little protection from sharp edges.  

 

Worse still, this sensitive man is not allowed to wear underwear beneath his shorts and he has noticed how certain men gather and gawp at his backside as he goes up the ladder. 

 

Wellingtons and shorts make a sexy combination*, but climbing a ladder in them isn't recommended for safety's sake!

Dures-Annees - Cutting Willow

 

 A young man, charged with cutting willow for the thatcher, hurries back to his master. He knows that if he lingers to talk and is late, his master will use one or more on his backside. His friend smiles, secretly wishing he might be there to watch it.

 

 

Dures-annees - Labouring in the Fields

 

Labouring in the fields is a typical part of French rural life. 

This farmhand has been singled out to work in tight shorts in all weathers. As he labours, he is closely scrutinised. 

 

The artist says:-  

"The labour is hard, but slacking off is quickly corrected. A stick is never far away to stimulate flagging enthusiasm". 

 

There are two contenders for 'stimulation' in this image, the one who isn't working and the one who is distracting him! 

That's how it works!

 

dures-annees - Sounded like a Great Spanking!

 

Village life has no anonymity, unfortunately. An embarrassed youth receives commiserations and congratulations from an amused neighbour, who overheard him being spanked. That's why he isn't actually riding his bike today.

 

The bystander with a guitar, seems to be providing a musical commentary like a bad staging of Shakespeare. AI seems to have a bizarre sense of humour sometimes.

  

 

dures-annees - The Breeding Bull

 

The artist presents this image with the wry caption, 

'July's work is breeding the large and small livestock'*

 

The farmer thanks the Bull's owner for his services:- "In ten months I shall have a new batch of calves, but I can't sit down any more!"

 

To which the Bull's owner replies, "That's normal, I used the same size on your buttocks as your cows. Don't worry, in three days you won't feel anything, and I'll come back to see you again". 

  

* The author also gives a lengthy quote from 'Palladius's Rural Economy' about the need to keep the cows in good condition so they can be bred each year. Literary quotes, wise sayings and fables are included in many of dures-annees posts, contrasting with his earthy narratives. They add depth, authenticity and coherence to the picture he weaves of a real rural community still practicing traditional values. It shows a pride in literary skill that seems very French 

 

 

dures-annees - Still in Shorts

 

At the packing factory, a worker, still in his apprentice shorts after three years, complains to a colleague that his boss won't give him promotion to full worker status because he can't afford it.

 

Unfortunately, alternative employment opportunities are scarce in this community so he must continue to endure the groping of fellow workers and occasional spankings that his mandatory shorts seem to attract, like a magnet for idle hands.

 

 

dures-annees - Punished for Lust

 

Older workers fare little better. At the Saw Mill, an operative explains to a friend that the boss saw him eyeing his daughter and didn't like it, so he made him wear a chastity cage (and shorts) for a month, or else lose his job. 

 

His (surprisingly knowledgeable) friend observes that 'it' will start leaking after a while, but apparently it already is. He reassuringly predicts that his colleague's dick will end up permanently shrivelled, like a hamster's.

The author's cryptic motto is:-

"In business, the art of leadership is all about using conjecture".
 

 

 

dures-annees - Soldiers on Leave

 

Even men in the military may be required to dress in short pants, including when they go home on leave. The pleasure of returning to camp and being reunited with their comrades is coloured by the knowledge that their customary lot of physical ordeals and injustices will also resume. Which in this world means corporal punishment and sexual services.

 

 

dures-annees - After The Fête

  

Military life is full of constraints. When you are surrounded by young men in revealing shorts, it's only natural to fraternise and want to take the best ones back to meet your comrades cooped up at base.

 The artist's own caption is more philosophical. "Returning home after the celebration is not part of it sometimes, but remembered only by others".

 

dures-annees - The Mature Altar Boy

Religion is a big part of life in this village, and the artist takes a typically French, contrarian view of recent church scandals. 

 

The priest thanks a villager who has agreed to return as his altar boy. They agree he should wear nothing under his cassock, just as was their custom in the old days. The new altar boy is obviously relishing already, the prospect of new adventures in the crypt! 

 

You have to feel sorry for the priest, this liaison may be legal, but it's still not in keeping with his vows. Being offered access to a hunk in shorts as brief as this would test the willpower of any man with gay leanings!

dures-annees - The Best Equipped Win The Ball

Other men find their own opportunities to do good deeds as they fill their spare time, making the best of having to wear shorts.

The artist invents a suitably ambiguous saying to the effect of 

"When you play near water, it is he who is the best equipped that gets the ball"

 

I find this character's, oddly retro look, curiously attractive. I expect he'll be off to the local cruising area when he's finished impressing the kids.

 

Winter weather provides a great foil for making the wearing of shorts more testing. Dures-annees matches all his posts to the changing seasons and religious calendar. That alignment is lost, of course, when reading his blog retrospectively, but the sequential rhythm of the year is preserved, amplifying the countryside feel and giving perceptive readers a pleasantly immersive experience.   

 

 

dures-annees - Those Who Dare Win The Ball

 

This variant opines that it's the one who is willing to strip down to his underwear that gets the ball. The hero of the hour here is not just retrieving it, but splashing around in the water and playing with it to impress the youngsters with his wet-ball skills. 

 

There's no sign of his discarded shorts. Let's hope there isn't a mischief-maker who has hidden them, he'll need them if his underwear gets wet! In fact, it looks as if it might have done already. He'll have to go cruising to dry them out. I'm sure his boldness will be appreciated there !

 

dures-annees - Drug Mule

When he's not being literary, this artist can be shockingly blunt and simultaneously witty. He titled this post:-

 

"Narco Transit – The Underbelly of Drug Trafficking". 

 

– Come on, push! It's not hard to poop out a bag of powder! 

– That's easy to say! It's not coming! 

– Then get up and bend over! I'll get it out myself! 

– No, wait, I think it's coming now!

 

(This is as the author wrote it. I've sightly adjusted the language).

 

On a more subtle level, I love the power play here, the butch builder being manipulated by his cunning young dealer to the extent that he submits to taking off his pants or shorts at his place of work and squatting to unload and hand over his package. That proves to be embarrassingly hard, and he panics at the thought of being given a hand with it.  There's a companion piece for this with an even more vivid text.

 

The freely available AI engines are notorious for blocking attempts to produce rude pictures. Lacking an overall, real intelligence though, they are inconsistent and can be tricked with clever words into going round the rules. I'd love to know how dures-annees persuaded this one to produce an uncovered back end.

dures-annees - Cruising Area (The Spirit of Sodomy)

No gay man could mistake what this image depicts. The artist paints this as a place where two lovers have been taken by a more knowledgeable acquaintance, so they can enjoy their attraction to each other to its fullest. He says it is the 'Spirit of Sodomy' to give in abundance what one wants to give. 

 

Here no-one will see and no one will hear the noise of penetration. It's a place where they don't have to worry about hostile intruders, since there is always someone around who hasn't clicked, keeping watch. You just have to be quick when the alarm is sounded.

 Dures-annees work is a master class on transforming pretty but erotically limited AI-images into something more punchy by adding an interesting and sexy storyline. It's something I try to do myself with captioned versions, some of which are linked into this post.

It's in French, as you would expect, but can be translated easily with Google Translate if you lack the full language skills. A somewhat tedious process and his colloquialisms cause confusion, but it's worth the effort, if only for the hidden shock value of some of his storylines.

Doodlefish - Ready for Play

I'm not usually a fan of long hair but Doodlefish's shaggy haired hunks have an individualistic, earthy appeal that's enhanced here by manual work clothes and muscles bulging under tight restraint. The squared-off design of the rope harness displays the captive's upper-body bulk, but eliminates any chance of him using it to escape. He's coaxed into a humiliating, public display of milk production.

Doodlefish - Art Model

Many a student has scratched some beer money by posing for an Art 'Life' class. Quentin Crisp, Britain's famous queer, made a career of it. It often means going nude (hence the Naked Civil Servant) but I imagine posing in shibari bondage is relatively rare. Our student here displays an interesting combination of post-adolescent nonchalance and bemusement about this requirement. I suppose the ciggy he is smoking may be contributing to that detachment (r whatever else he took last night). 

My guess is the class resorted to restraint as the only way to make the unruly man keep still, but the art-work on the wall suggests they have employed this measure before. Such muscularity on one so young certainly deserves appreciation and there's no finer tribute than wrapping it in ropes as if it were too dangerous to be allowed freedom in a confined space. The leg suspension is a little unkind since it will become more than a little uncomfortable if the length of the class period stretches into multiple hours, but the rugby-style long socks he's wearing imply he's fitter and tougher than most. 

Doodlefish - Not Again

There's similar sporting background to this image with shorts, undershorts and long socks in evidence. It's clearly a locker-room ritual and I imagined it at first to be a private 'man of the match' ceremony enacted on the player adjudged to have put in the worst performance. If you think about it, over the course of a season of 30 or so matches, every man in the team would be liable to find himself in the bottom spot once, at least. Bottom seems to be the operative word here, judging by the condoms lying ready on the bench. 

But no, it turns out that this is the team captain rewarding his team with a treat of their own choosing. It looks like every one of them is going to take full advantage of the offer. It must work as an incentive, though, because the title tells us that this has happened before. I suppose he doesn't want to change a winning formula so he takes the team's parts in good humour, offering half-hearted resistance and a request for them to be less rough. That seems to  imply that he enjoys it as much as they do.

Doodlefish - Do Me A Favour

There's an unintended embarrassment here with a parcel delivery man making an unfortunate discovery when a damaged box sheds it's contents on the customer's doorstep. He's terrified of being held responsible for the damage and also, I imagine, for discovering something that most men would prefer their delivery men not to know about. Luckily this customer is not at all worried about it, but sneakily takes advantage of the poor man's confusion by asking for a favour. It's not the obvious one suggested by this image, instead he invites him in to establish that the articles have not been damaged.

Most of these images have an explicit sequel and you can imagine what form this one takes. You should be able to track it down by visiting Doodlefish75 at 'X'. This image stands up on it's own, however, as a vivid illustration of frightened submissiveness by a very cute-looking guy. I'm a sucker for uniforms and shorts anyway, they seem to imply a certain level of 'amenability' to giving service. Name tags also contribute to that impression and I particularly like the way this one dangles in front of his crotch.

Doodlefish - Make Me Cum

We've all had a go on those machines at fairgrounds where you manipulate a crane with a claw grabber to drop down onto a prize and retrieve it. I don't think I've ever seen anyone get a prize out from one so I'm all in favour of this alternative idea. The captive, relaxing on his cushion, seems to be unaware that he's on public display (free of charge) with strangers paying (small) sums of money for the chance to tease him into wetting his pants. The picture is about his looming, public embarrassment which can be a powerful thing in some parts of the world. 

Other than enjoying his plight, there's limited reward for the on-lookers. There's a cup at the front of the case which suggests a (probably small) liquid prize for beating the challenge and they can have fun manoeuvring the vibrator (no it's not a microphone) into position and chasing him with it if he moves. However, I suspect it would be just as frustrating as the conventional fairground game. Why dispense with the claw, you might ask and I would agree. As far as I know the artist hasn't depicted that variant but there are other images in the series with the captive minus briefs but plus plug. This being a fantasy, he ultimately manages to fill the cup (via the rectangular drainage funnel just beyond the control buttons) and whitewash the inside of the cabinet. 

Doodlefish also put a different captive into a glass case to be a commercial milk dispenser rather than a fairground entertainment (in Milk Outlets by Doodlefish).

Doodlefish - The Next Number

This idea would certainly liven up bingo nights, which let's face it are a bit of a bore unless you have an engaging companion. The artist has made it even more interesting by portraying the balls as if they were like pool balls (i.e big and hard). Accommodating ninety of them would be a bit of a challenge for most men, a would-be 'shooter' would have to practice for months. Perhaps they start with ball-bearings and work up. At this level though he ought to be able to command an extra fee for pure entertainment value, perhaps selling tickets to the audience so they can kiss their lucky number and pop it in themselves.

Doodlefish - Room-mate's Noise 2

Anal experiences come high up this artist's pecking order and here's another rebellious young man getting his as a punishment for making too much noise with his music deck, disturbing his housemates and aggressively rejecting their complaints. I suppose it's debateable whether this is necessarily a punishment for him, there's hard evidence to the contrary, but being able to subdue and override an objectionable jerk is reward in itself for most of us. When the batteries run down and the music stops he may sing a different tune. And if he does like it? Well, why not do it to him again?

The timeless fashions of youth are nicely depicted here 

and like most of this artist's images, it's very pleasing to the eye. 

Doodlefish - Put It In

Gay Asian artists seem to have a particular interest in exposing the foibles of their office superiors. This image shows such a boss who summons his employees to give him ritual humiliation. They arrive to find him undressed and in a receptive position for his preferred devices - animal ears and a bushy tail with handy butt plug for secure attachment. 

Animal references also crop up in this artist's fantasy pictures which don't qualify for this blog, but the interest for me here is the deliciously snug-fitting underwear the boss is wearing. Needless to say, the pants soon vanish, as the laws of porn demand and as the title suggests it must!

Doodlefish - Time To Do You 2

This chap starts out in sports shorts but the naked version is relatively uncontroversial and another nice view of a pleasant, innocent fantasy. This artist's titles are rather uninformative and no use at all for search indexing but have the virtue of inviting you to imagine. As to what 'do you' means exactly, older visitors may recall a vintage, radio, comic association with this phrase, which shows humour hasn't changed very much over the years, it's just become less subtle.

Doodlefish - Loosen Up

If you are going to self-censor work (which all bloggers have to do sometime) this is a marvellously clever way to do it and it probably ends up being more provocative (and more interesting) than the undisguised image would be. It's a subterfuge that is not easy for censoring computers to spot since it just implies, especially when the apparently bland title is added in. The image itself incorporates an element of the locker-room bondage ritual shown earlier but doesn't seem to be directly related to it subject-wise.

Doodlefish - Who's The Idiot Now?

This seems to be a variation of the humiliated boss meme, but in an educational context. However, the man being taught his manners seems to be a sports coach rather than a conventional teacher. They used to double up roles when I was in that stage of my life, with sports or art master usually being a second string, but I don't know if it works like that now. The guys tormenting him don't seem to be sporting types, however, and the exam paper doesn't seem to have that connection either so it's all a bit puzzling.

None of this detracts from the splendid depiction of a handsome, chunky-thighed, games man, sexily stripped of his shorts and (soiled) underwear, but not his top or socks (I must admit, I share this artist's predilection for sports socks). The man at the centre of attention gazes up stoically, vacantly almost. as a very large vibrating plug is inserted into him from behind. The only preparation for this demanding test seems to have been a string of much smaller balls. This sub-dom imagery is superb but the reason why he is so acquiescent is a bit of a cheat. The idiocy referred to in the title is a student's interest in hypnosis which his mentor has ridiculed. Now the tables are turned and he is in it's grip, totally compliant (and hopefully, more accommodating of invasive devices). 

Doodlefish - Tentacle Revenge 1

Octopii have become a regular feature at this blog of late (search 'octopus') and it's not surprising to find them groping their way into the work of an Asian artist. This invocation of a fisherman discovering an unusual species in his net is like something out of the 1001 Arabian nights but the traditional influences don't stop it having a subtle sexiness, possibly because we arrive at it forewarned about the rapacious tendencies of these creatures, which the strange appendages on their tentacles in this case do nothing to dispel. Doodlefish works his usual magic with the fisherman's appearance, conjuring up an intensely interesting, youthful masculinity. 

Doodlefish - Tentacle Revenge 2

There is something very satisfying and sophisticated in the way this artist does not direct his tentacles to strip the unfortunate young fisherman naked, but merely to lift his apron and bare one leg so that the way is clear for him to be plugged at both ends. There's a sinister intelligence in the way the octopus has clamped his hands together to accomplish this. 

At this point he seems to be teetering on the edge of his boat and is probably more worried about being pulled into the water and drowned, than the minor inconvenience of perfectly good food making it's own way into his intestines. It's even inducing a pleasurable response in the process, probably fuelled by his fear. 

This is a great little series.

Doodlefish - Locker Room Reveal

Back in the locker room, another player strips off to wash away the sweat and grime of the match and in the process reveals the weals left by shibari ropework (and possibly, punishment implements too). Already the other users have noticed the marks and are exclaiming in surprise and probably registering other emotions ranging from horror to arousal (as suggested by the basketball player's exploding drink).

Little do they know that when the player turns round an even more unexpected sight will confront them, a chastity cage. It's already dripping with his sexual excitement at being 'found out' as a man who likes to be dominated and controlled in the crudest fashion. There is no way of knowing how the other men will respond. Some will be appalled, some amused, but there may be others who take advantage.....

Doodlefish - Let's See How Deep

This isn't the official sequel but it fits that chain of thought. Some senior players have decided to exploit the opportunity to satisfy their own sadistic impulses. They've even brought toys of their own to the locker room. With a willing victim who knows where it will end?

 There's something very visceral about drtkk's highly stylised cartoons of men in captivity,

however, his solid line, blocky style makes for a busy, visual effect in black and white,

so I wondered how colouring one would look.

(In fact it's a style that seems to cry out for colouring).

It gains depth from the colours and hidden details become more apparent 

e.g. there are no less than 28 cables attached to the bodies of the two men!

Also the captives are revealed to have thighs like tree trunks.

The streaks on the wall suggest the walls are running with the sweat of the men.

Chastity Art by Blake Alexander

Blake Alexander - Caged Mako 1

Like Aizenhower, Blake Alexander draws on the characters of 'The Legend of  Korra' for these images. He's dressed them in modern clothes and set the encounter in a sort of classical pavilion or villa bizarrely located in what seems like a typical, suburban, back garden. 

It's a fairly complex scene and the first impression is of a technical style that is crisp, clean and colourful. Visually it's very appealing to the eye and it's populated with attractive men dressed in modern, sexy clothes (nice shorts!) that make you want to see more. 

This picture belongs to a series called 'Caged Mako', Mako being the character who is being dominated and groped in the foreground trio. The thumb just showing between Mako's thighs and his mounded shorts just above it are a very clever detail and, to my mind, much more sexy than a crudely grabbing hand. 

Beyond him is Bolin who features prominently in my recent extracts of Aizenhower's images. He is being readied for you know what by the Commander, who is being assisted by a curious blob-like manifestation which is helpfully supporting Bolin in mid-air, holding his arms and legs in a convenient, spread-eagle position. He seems as happy about it as any leather guy would be in a sling.

Blake Alexander - Caged Mako 2

In this image the clothes of the captives have been magicked away leaving them in jock-straps. Although none of the characters have moved the scene has become much more charged erotically, with the groping hand now in intimate contact with Mako's crotch features and Bolin's rose bud fully visible, open, vulnerable and tempting. Both men appear to be covered in a sheen of perspiration following this unexpected development.

All the remaining clothes now disappear and the excitement of all (except Mako) is revealed.

We can now see that the object that the kneeling man has been holding in his right hand is a chastity cage and it has now been lodged around Mako's cock. The 'safety string' holding it in place is a surprising detail, it ought to be able to stay on unsupported! The fitter strokes it lovingly but Mako doesn't seem to notice, he suddenly has his hands full behind (neat!). 

Meanwhile, Bolin's immediate admirer is poised to engage gear.

In a fourth image, the fountains duly gush.

I suppose the simultaneous depiction of what happens to Mako and Bolin is intended to draw out the 'buddy effect' of friends being exploited together and unable to help each other. However, there's a slightly frustrating detachment between the two cameos, the two men don't even look at each other and the freeze technique rules out more physical communication. Not that they seem to need much help, Bolin is clearly having the time of his life and there doesn't seem anything to prevent Mako escaping if he wanted to, despite the angst on his face. He is not visibly restrained but I suppose there might be some magical, invisible bindings on his wrists. Forgive my ignorance, fans!

Blake Alexander - Caged Mako 6

The prisoners are released after serving their purpose and later pictures in the series show Mako cruising, but frustrated by the restriction of his cage which is still in place. He doesn't get his clothes back either. In this rather beautiful image we see the device more clearly. It has a curious, organic shape resembling the head of a hawk. The gold colour suggests metallic solidity but in this universe I imagine it might have magical qualities that enable it to come to life. It's no longer attached to a retraining waist string either. The mind boggles.

Jomsviking - Captured by Trolls

The first part of this series included an example of a man being thrown into a pit of devils by a religious cult. Jomsviking also sends out bands of Trolls to terrorise his menfolk. Fantasy beings are not the usual fare at this blog but they produce an interesting situation here, as they discover the special attractions of men as opposed to women. The captive tethered on the left and anxiously waiting his fate is one of this artist's better-drawn men, though far from being idealised. His buddy being put on the spot in the middle has quite long hair which is typical of a certain type of male, more attractive to women than gays, I suspect, but Trolls seem drawn to it too. It leads to a comic moment here with the gag doubling up as an Alice band.

Jomsviking - Troll Squad 1

I claimed in Part 1 that this artist has hidden gems in his output and this comic strip is a case in point, starting with the alarmed face he has drawn in the frame middle right. It's not hard to imagine this character being transformed into something quite special by more subtle draughtsmanship. That's not not intended as a criticism, in the lower corner frame you see how effectively the artist uses the comic technique, literally darkening a face to create a sense of resentment, apprehension and fear. In the top frame he conjures up the setting of an Inn in almost-cinematic fashion. 

Jomsviking - Troll Squad 2

In Part 2, enforcer Trolls arrive to pick up the terrified fugitive (top frame). A fantasy, but they exhibit unpleasantly human characteristics. The clever use of perspective to create a sense of intimidating size is reminiscent of Macbeth's dark art in the 1980's.  In the frame just below, their hands dropping on the victim's shoulders produce a delicious cliché of impending doom, but again one can readily imagine a fleshed out, more sensual rendering of that face.  

The 'lift' (bottom left) is perhaps overly comic but it leads into a short 'strip and abduct' sequence that is masterly in it's economy and abruptness. In the middle frame the sudden nakedness and vulnerability of the captive is cleverly emphasised by the forward arching of his body and the knife blade hovering dangerously close to his crown jewels. The final frame is truly a little gem of male fetish art, showing the nude figure being bound and hustled away watched by two barely visible onlookers. Consider also how it has been placed at the end of the page to create a natural dramatic 'fade out'  The Troll adds a wry punctuation mark.

This page is a delicious little story in itself.

Jomsviking - Troll Squad 3

If you look again at that last corner frame, you'll see that the captive is not headed for the exit but a pub table and that is where the action continues with his gagging and wrapping up. This attempt to disguise the abduction as a carpet delivery seems totally surreal, given that this man has just been stripped naked and tied up in the middle of a crowded tavern. The imagery becomes more of a caricature too, diluting the erotic impact of the idea.

The next scene is straight out of the 'Count of Monte Cristo' and that connection adds both richness of colour and a touch of nostalgic humour to the proceedings. Cutting past the chase, the poor wretch is soon unceremoniously dumped at the feet of the arch villain who has ordered his 'recovery'. It probably won't have escaped your attention that it's a woman*, but fear not, she doesn't take her kit off! The nature of his 'service' is made more clear in the last frame when she produces a handful of leather straps. Once again the end of the page inserts a dramatic pause.

*I'm not totally averse to a bit of femdom at this blog, it ropes in (so to speak) a section of the male population with unique charms of their own that might otherwise escape our fetish attention. Unfortunately, the formula for this art form demands that our hero be reduced to a pathetic wretch, a process that began with his seizure (Part 2) and developed on the page preceding this one (Part 3).

With a tight-fitting hood rolled over his head our hero is made to sit in the carriage an uncomfortable and humiliating head-bowed position. His subjugation is pretty much complete, although we can still glimpse his masculinity via his nicely rounded pecs and a smattering of hair on his legs and chest. This body hair is a feature he may not have for much longer, for his captor has already initiated a process of feminisation for him. By some unseen trickery, his feet can only rest on his toes, as if he were wearing high heeled fetish boots, a development which probably awaits him at his next destination. Luckily we don't have to witness that degradation, the carriage speeds off into the night with him inside.

Ruthless Trolls feature in this image too with a much grander target in their sights, a King and his entire family. I've picked this single sex detail out of a larger image which shows them all being stripped and carted off, men and women. This artist does not idealise men but his picture of the king as an older man is fair and not totally unflattering, nor devoid of sex appeal for chubby bear fanciers. 

The same applies to the slightly flabby figure on the right, seen being aggressively bound and gagged. It's not always easy to identify genders in this artist's figures, the men are often broad in the beam with slack pecs and large orioles. Judging by his underpants, however, this is one of the King's male relatives. A once-fine physique gone to seed perhaps. The arching pose being forced upon him is similar to 'the lift' image in Troll Squad 2 (above) and draws on the same erotic ingredients but with an extra helping of stress imposed by balancing him on his knees with him legs tied back. Helpless and surrounded by predators, the process of making him a captive creates a sexy situation of it's own.

Jomsviking - Heroes of a Proud Nation

This epic tableau documents another catastrophic military defeat (click on the link for a large version). An army of young knights have been captured and afterwards they are stripped to their underwear and tied up. One is seen being carried away slung from a pole (left), others are temporarily detained and abused by their captors but will then suffer the same fate. It's an all male cast, but a couple have suffered the humiliation of being dressed in feminine lingerie. Even the older ones (bottom right) are not spared this terrible fate. 

Highlights are the guy on the pole and the one on his knees (centre right) but this looks like it's part of a much bigger picture

This artist seems to thrive on historical scenarios where unbridled power could bring down the great as well as the good and when dungeons were places to be feared not playrooms. This image captures the sense of an aristocratic captive's confusing and threatening descent into a dark, secret place of unimaginable suffering. 

The artist 'Les' also used dungeon steps in memorable imagery like this . 

As well as the dark, cold atmosphere, there's a more tangible threat signalled by the sinister escorts. Jomsviking is good at depicting menacing captors, in fact he often seems to give them more attention and more attractive substance than he does their victims. 

This picture also features a chunky, chastity device which seems an odd choice for a political prisoner but it makes a sexy combination with his chunky thighs and turned down medieval boots. 

Jomsviking - Football Team Transformation.

Here the dungeon steps motif is combined with an abduction scenario that is remarkably similar to Amalaric's story of the disappearance of the Raytown (Missouri) Softball Team (in 'Slave to Passion', image 8 onwards). In this case, however, it's a football team and since the artist is Finnish it's likely we are talking about soccer. The abduction technique (not included here) is the same as Amalaric's, they all get on a bus but instead being taken to their Hotel, the driver drives them to an old factory where they are forced out at gunpoint, scuffed and gagged and led inside never to be seen again. 

Jomsviking condenses the stripping and re-clothing of the entire team into this single image but I particularly like the curly-haired victim being stripped at the left side. Skimpy panties are OK but I can't say I'm crazy about men in fishnets and heels, however it does make a point about who is in control and much more unpleasantly than simply stripping them. It conjures up lurid thoughts (for them and us) about what is going to happen to them all.
