It's not too surprising that my Mike Carcel A-Z article has kept it's spot at the top, it had a big lead last year but has actually extended it in 2014 with 2366 hits in the year – a tribute to Mike's continuing popularity with fetish fans.
 
This increase is second only to the 'My Initiation' post with 3378 hits in 2014, enabling it to jump from 16 to 6 in the top 20. It's a great bondage image but it's popularity surprises me. The next largest jump after these two was for Priapus of Milet - 1 with 2211 additional hits, overtaking Jotto at no 4.

Other notable risers were my 2011 'Tribute to Bound Gods' (at 10) and also the A-Z on Klaus von Brandenburg (at 11), his naïve, hero torture art never seems to flag in popularity. The entry of Leo to the list at 18 with his whimsical, kidnap and bondage art seems to echo this lighter interest. It's a welcome counter-balance to the darker, heavy fetish artists that dominate the top 10 and which are boosted further this year by the arrival of the lesser known, 'hanging' specialist, Marc at No 16. 

 

The 4 new entrants this year also included (unexpectedly) the 'Shaving Fantasy' sequence I culled from Dreamboys Bondage in 2012. Interestingly, the Michael Mitchell article at No 20 also singles out this fetish and another body shaving post, Naked As The Day just missed the cut.

These new entries displaced some bondage photography posts and my brief note on Josman from last years list. There are now 5 non-art entries in the top 20 (down from 6)

At least 11 posts in the top 20 gained more hits this year than the leading post from 2014 (Tagame - Part 3) which enters the list at No 53 and at the time of writing has just passed the 1000 mark. His articles are attracting similar levels of interest to the leaders here but will have a battle to catch them up. The highest ranking post dating from 2013, 'Classic Japanese Bondage Art' is at 35.

This is for entertainment only, I don't know how valid or complete the figures really are and obviously posts from early years have an advantage over more recent writings. The articles I post to this blog are very much based on my own interests and fancies, but it's interesting and surprising to discover what my readers like and is a sometimes a reminder of areas unintentionally neglected. For example this year I have updated my 'shaving' label to include over-looked posts, including one of my own pictures (see label list below). I am hoping to finish the remaining 'A-Z' letters this year and revisit some of the early entries which are often sketchy and much less adult oriented than my current articles.
