Swimmer in Bondage (Art)

I like this idea (despite the youth of the celebrant). 

The arms channelled between the buttocks is an interesting touch if not quite in accord with the laws of physics. Light has some odd properties in this universe too, but the light and shade effects add greatly to the interest of the scene. 

The artist is Stevie but his shiny swimming trunks and tight bondage remind me of Boundex's art too.

I don't think Stevie has his own site but there is a selection of his work at xtcgm's Deviant Art gallery and you may be able to find more through links and associations there

 It looks like some bright spark has removed the artist's ID, why do people do that? Is it some sort of cultural communism where art belongs to everyone and no-one gets credit for what they produce? Or is it a pre-emptive plea of ignorance for breaching copyright?

Mitchell's A-Z of Fetish Artists - JX

JX is our final entry for the letter J. He draws men strapped up in rubber/leather suits and sometimes molested by handsome, muscular captors. We're back in the land of Boundex and JoeT here but there's a little more realism about the depictions.

JX - Fisting
JX actually shows the captors in the act of tying up the captive and interacting with him which is great. In 'Fisting', the attackers clothing has a sporting flavour about it. I like the relaxed pose of the fister.

JX - Blindfold+Gag

I'm not a big fan of masking faces but the combination gag and blindfold shows just enough facial detail to be erotic.

JX - Not Going Anywhere

These are just sketches and lined papersuggests he's not a 'pro' but there are some ambitious compositions here with interlocking bodies and limbs. They work well, overall the bodies look right and he has a talent for drawing rough masculine faces. There is a lot of authentic detail in the clothing and 'gear' although you have to look closely to make it out. It would be great to see more polished versions.

I have only a small group of sketches by this artist and no little about him. I'd certainly like to see more.

Postscript to the swimming trunks series

 

Boundex has kindly sent me this take on Speedo Bondage for men. I think the backside in the foreground is a very sexy touch. It must be in line for the implements leaning against the wall since access to his sweating buddy is restricted for the immediate future. Buddies 'getting it' together is a favourite theme of mine and will feature in this blog eventually.

Mitchell's A to Z of Fetish Artists - Best of the letter 'B'

Picking out my favourite in the letter 'B' category is tough - there are several artists that excite me here so I know my choice is going to be somewhat arbitrary.

If I were making my choice on drawing style and sensuality it would have to be Blake - I love how he draws his beleaguered men - but the subject matter is just too hard for me. I feel the same about Bastille's sleazy orgies though I admire his intelligent artistry.

I like the inventiveness of Bishop's bondage positions but the female nuances in his figures kill the fantasy. Belasco's hard black and white style reminds me of the war story comic books of my youth and fills his stories with action and drama but somehow the sensuality and interest isn't quite there in individual frames - I can't put my finger on exactly why.

That leaves us with Boundex and Brick - both use cartoon styles so we are not really talking about sensuality here (apart from Boundex's shiny buttocks whose charms are not inconsiderable!). For me the main attractions in the work of these two artists are the depiction of male bondage itself, the use of clothing which creates a connection with the real world and the story-telling. It's a hard choice but Brick just edges it for me because his men have just a touch more realism and his pictures are more varied in subject matter with rather more going on in them. So Brick joins Amir in my personal Hall of Fame!

Mitchell's A to Z of Fetish Artists - Boundex

he Art of Boundex typically shows images of men, often skinhead types,
who have been tightly tied up, gagged and suspended.

Sometimes they are depicted in skinhead clothing - Adidas tee shirts and jeans - but often they are clad in tight fitting lycra or shiny rubber suits which are depicted in a sensual way and create a strange effect of nakedness and vulnerability whilst clothed. These male bondage situations are bought to life by little side comments or exclamations muffled through gags conjuring up fantasies of revenge, abduction and punishment very much in the 'mitchmen' style.

Boundex's style of drawing is very simple and often all that can be seen of the faces is wild, fearful eyes but the overall effect is strangely erotic - particularly when paddles hover over the shiny rubber clad buttocks of the helpless captive men.
