The 'gym run', looking for men possessing illegal steroids was a popular assignment
But some of these guys were too big to be easily controlled by a cop on his own
To overcome this problem patrol men were issued with injectors
containing fast-acing sedatives, able to quell violent resistance
and ensure compliance with the total strip requirement.
The trouble was men in this group, when they were stripped,
often revealed plumped-up, jock pouches and rounded pecs on muscular torsos.
Tempting sights for Officers itching to use their injectors.
A number of these men, including some who had submitted without sedation,
arrived at the cop shop with needle marks in unusual places
and remembering little about their arrest.
