The Guards move Tom's chair away from the heat of fire.
Mostly for fear of scorching their own uniforms.
But Tom is sweating profusely anyway now,
just from the sheer intimacy of the procedure.
The shaving round his groin is particularly difficult for him.
As his body is reduced to a state of total hairless-ness,
he becomes more and more anxious.
If he's not going to be handed over to the Police then what?

When it's all done and the trimmings tidied away,
They spray his body with a bright green liquid.
It feels cold and horrid on his sensitised skin.
and it looks and smells suspiciously like kitchen cleaner.
Then it begins to sting - all over his body.
