'mitchmen' sponsors an Open Archive of photographs taken in the 50s and 60s by the British 'Royale Studio' and it's off-shoot 'Dolphin Photography' later called 'Hussar'.

 

Soldier-Sailor by Royale Studio

  Royale was renowned for its military and sporting, photo storyettes, which typically featured authentic military uniforms, tight sailor pants and shorts. Plot lines frequently involved undressing, captivity and disciplinary situations.

They also published photo sets of the models. 

This archive is the first to name the models and link them to their photo sets and storyettes. It also sets them in the historical context

The images are organised at two separate sites,
